Although our main specialisation is in structural engineering, DTCE has engineers that are specialists in most aspects of geotechnical and civil engineering. We have carried out projects ranging from earthworks, geotechnical surveys, and retaining wall design. Over the years we have also assessed hundreds of slips and damaged retaining walls, and provided remedial works for them.

More recently, DTCE has included stormwater drainage into it's scope of services to better provide our clients with all their consulting engineering needs in-house. Our geotechnical and civil engineering expertise includes, but is not limited to:

Technical Knowledge

With two of our six CPEng engineers having extensive experience in retaining structures and soil geomechanics, we have the technical knowledge in-house to carry out most small-medium scale geotechnical projects. We also have extensive professional contact with geotechnical specialising firms and can liaise with them on your project if we feel our in-house team would benefit from an outside input. 

Using our membership with Engineering New Zealand, our geotechnical specialising engineers attend and learn at multiple seminars per year in the geotechnical field. This ensures we have up to date knowledge in providing you with multiple solutions for your geotechnical project.
