DTCE was engaged to design a new entrance canopy for an existing church building, creating a welcoming and weather-protected arrival space.

The canopy structure is open beneath, supported by posts along the outer edge and securely connected to the existing masonry wall along the inner edge. Our scope included the full structural design of the canopy roof, support posts, foundations, bracing, and connections to the existing building.

Particular care was taken to ensure the new structure integrates safely with the masonry wall while maintaining durability, stability, and compliance with current standards.
