The apartment renovation centred on a sculptural three-level staircase featuring exposed steel brackets, timber treads, a glass balustrade, and a custom LED-lit bookcase. DTCE’s role was to design a sleek yet stable structure that met both aesthetic and performance goals.

Key challenges included navigating complex geometry around existing walls, developing unique exposed connection details, and resolving clashes with existing structural elements. Through close collaboration with the architect, builder, and fabricator, DTCE delivered a refined, functional design that balanced visual lightness with precise structural integrity.
