DTCE provided the structural design for a new single-storey commercial visitor centre, including three steel portal frames, bracing systems, and a foundation pile. The building features a mono-slope steel roof supported by timber framing, with the portal frames forming the primary structural system to resist wind and seismic loads.

Ground conditions across the site varied significantly, with suitable founding material occurring at inconsistent depths. To ensure stability, driven piles were installed beneath the RibRaft concrete slab, allowing loads to transfer to reliable ground. The portal frames were connected to the foundation system to resist uplift from wind and seismic forces, creating a robust and efficient structural solution for the site.
