ROBIESON STREET HOUSE

The existing house in a SED wind zone lacked bracing along the top third floor. In addition to this, the owner wanted to alter the ground floor into a separate tenantable space. DTCE engineers designed a portal frame system to resist lateral loads and an intricate gravity system to adequately support the upper floors. DTCE worked closely with the builder to ensure the buildability and economy of the structure.
