MOTUEKA STREET HOUSE

The building was originally constructed in the late 1920s with major alterations completed around the late 1980s. The later additions enlarged the ground floor area and added (partly) a second floor and a timber deck. The original building consisted of a single storey dwelling with clay brick walls, a brick chimney, timber floor, and light timber framed roof.
DTCE was the consultant for the Detailed Seismic Assessment (DSA), seismic retrofit, and alterations to this residential property in Ngaio.
