HOLLAND STREET BUILDING

DTCE was commissioned to assist with a structural transformation. The building's purpose was being changed and the brick walls needed to be secure. In a departure from a heavy conventional approach such as spraying the walls with concrete, our team adopted the early design guidance being produced for timber strong-backs. By embracing emerging technology at its inception, we achieved an economically optimized design that surpassed the initial proposal. The intricate 3D modelling of the structure was accomplished using Etabs computer program.
